My cousin Daren passed away last week after a short and difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 46 years old, and he was a beautiful human being. Everyone who knew him loved him. And, apropos to this website, he LOVED listening to music. I don’t know if he knew these songs, but I suspect he would like them, maybe even a lot. Daren, I love and miss you!
In my own weird way, these sad songs have a way of bringing me up a little bit, even especially when I’m feeling sad. Sometimes, it’s good to feel sad, and sometimes, it’s even better to have some sad music prop up the sad feelings.
