I first heard Daniel Avery in 2024 when I stumbled across Ultra Truth. Since then, I have been listening to everything I can get my hands on. He even did a remix of Drone:Nodrone on The Cure’s Mixes of a Lost World.
He’s been milking Tremor like nobody’s business, but it’s all good. I can’t stop listening to it, and his latest deluxe release has my Song of the Week on it!
Even though this song is an awesome piece of electronic music, it makes me go all shoegaze. I’m digging up new and not so new shoegaze and shoegaze-adjacent tunes. Lots of reverb, lots of distortion, and… If you listen really carefully, you MIGHT understand a FEW words. MAYBE.
