I feel like Ásgeir is one of the great unknown artists from Iceland. Julia came out in February. It’s a wonderful folk-pop album that just soothes the soul.
I saw him perform in New York in June 2026, and he was fantastic. Unfortunately, he performed to a group of maybe 300 or 400 people, which made me sad for him.
