Interpol dropped their new album at the end of August. It kicks off surprisingly quietly, and the music feels a bit heavier than prior albums. But, I guess that makes sense. They’re older now.
Not like some of the old boys out there like Robert Smith or Mick Jagger, but they have been doing this for 20+ years now, so I guess the music is allowed to feel a little more introspective and… Maahhhhhtoooor. Just in case you’re not reading real good today, “Maahhhhtoooor = Mature”. Mature. Yeah, I guess they are. And probably not me.
My favorite tune by them is still Pioneer to the Falls off of their 2007 release Our Love to Admire, which may be my favorite album by them, too, but This Mirror Weighs a Ton is still a good listen.
