I didn’t name them: Fuck Buttons!
In their short history as a group, Andrew Hung and Benjamin John Power put together three full length albums: Street Horrrsing, Tarot Sport, and Slow Focus.
My history with them is, let me check my calendar… About 4 days now, yup, that’s the ticket! Electronic, post-rock noise, anyone?
I’m enamored with all three albums, but I’ve picked Tarot Sport because if they have three bears, Tarot Sport is their Mama Bear. Accessible, but still noisy. You should listen to all of them.
But, can we just stop here for a second, and think about their name? What do they mean with that name? I mean, really, what do they mean?
Do they want to do away with all buttons? Like, you know, “Fuck all those buttons!!!”
Or are they referencing something more, uhhhh, pornographic?
Or, could they be thinking about my favorite cartoon, ever, Ren & Stimpy with the ultimate fuck it all button?
We may never know.
