CeeLo, your voice is like butter. And Sorry takes me from personal confession to social commentary to post-apocalyptic resignation. I don’t know what you’re singing about, but it truly feels like the end of the world. Seriously.
Danger Mouse, you are as controlled and deliberate as ever. You’re the bread to CeeLo’s butter. You bring texture, depth, and sonic power to the party. I love this song.
OK. Am I being too effusive? Perhaps. And, most of the reviews I’ve read of their new album are kinda humdrum. Bah. You liked St. Elsewhere? You liked The Odd Couple? You’ll like this.
