You ever hear a song and go, “Holy shit! I love this song!” And then, you say, “I have to listen to everything by these guys!”
And then… You are underwhelmed by everything else? Dude, Emergence is technical and emotional and filled with enough genre bends to cause muscle cramps in a Yogi master. Truly, a beautiful song. Unfortunately for me, the rest of their album is kind of a let down, but doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome. It’s just that it Emergence stands out so strongly.
It doesn’t matter. Emergence is powerful and masterful, and it stands all by itself even next to Polyphia, Opeth, and yeah, Rodrigo y Gabriela.
